International Programs

Through the Center for International Programs (CIP), Aichi Gakuin University (AGU) offers a wide range of international programs to help students learn languages, about culture, and expand their global perspective.

For AGU students:
We offer AGU students a number of ways to study overseas. First, AGU students can go overseas when they participate in one of our Short Study Tours, either a language program, or one of the Global Workforce Training Programs. AGU students studying abroad in one of the language programs can study English, Korean or Chinese at our affiliated universities overseas where the language is spoken as a native language. AGU students who sign up for one of our Global Workforce Training Programs can develop the skills abroad that will allow them to thrive in this increasingly globalized world.

For AGU students who would like to study outside of Japan for a longer period of time can take part in one of AGU’s Study Abroad Programs that will give them a chance to study abroad, mainly at one of our affiliated universities.

Are you thinking about studying in Japan?
(For international students)
For students from our partner universities, the CIP offers two ways to study in Japan. Our exchange program offers students a truly unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Japanese language and culture. Because the program is exclusive and open to only a small number of students from abroad, those students will be challenging themselves on a daily basis to learn Japanese and adapt to the cultural environment. Exchange students will be able to enjoy making new Japanese friends, and interacting with their classmates. Find out more about our exchange program here.
Our Short-Term Program in Japanese Language and Culture offers students a chance to study Japanese language and culture intensively within a much shorter timeframe (up to two weeks). The program offers Japanese language courses, lectures on Japanese culture (in English), and tours of local points of interest, such as Nagoya Castle and industrial facilities related to the Toyota Corporation. Find out more about our Short-Term Program in Japanese Language and Culture here.
Japanese classes for international exchange students are handled by AGU’s Center for Japanese Language and Culture. You can find their English-language homepage here.
