About Us
Aichi Gakuin University (AGU) established its Center for International Programs (CIP) in 2003 to promote international exchange. CIP not only supports AGU international students but also assists students who wish to study abroad for academic purposes or for the sake of language training. CIP mainly provides the following services and information on:
・Exchange programs, short and long study-abroad programs and language-training programs for both international students and students of AGU
・Admission (proxy application for visa, etc.) and immigration procedures for international students
・Study and all aspects of daily life for international students
・Scholarship for international students provided by external organizations
・Other issues related to international exchange
Since the time of its foundation, AGU has grown into one of the largest universities in the Chubu region of Japan. We’re a big school, but our international programs are selective, focused and challenging, offering international students a chance to really immerse themselves in the study of Japanese culture and language. One of our main goals at the CIP is to help our own students, and students from all over the world, make the best of their study-abroad experience. It is through international exchange, we believe, that we can begin to achieve real cross-cultural understanding.
If you’re interested in coming to study in Japan, we hope that you will check out two of our affiliated institutes:
The Center for Japanese Language and Culture
AGU’s Center for Japanese Language and Culture (CJLC) offers classes to help students at any Japanese language proficiency level learn natural and authentic Japanese. The classes are small and offer motivated students numerous opportunities to learn not only Japanese language, but about Japanese culture as well.
